Privacy Policy

Conseal, a product of Sprintfour Technologies Inc.

Sprintfour Technologies Inc. understands that privacy is important to you. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information about you is collected and used by us. This Privacy Policy applies to the website: www.conseal.ai (the "Site"); and the Conseal desktop application (the "Application"). Sprintfour Technologies Inc. reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Be sure to check the Site periodically for updates.

Your Documents

The Application processes your documents entirely on your own device. Detection, redaction, and pseudo-anonymization all run locally. We do not receive, store, or have access to your documents, their contents, their file names, the redacted values, or the local mapping files used to reverse pseudo-anonymization. Those files exist only on your device, and we cannot recover them. Please retain your own backups of any key or restoration files, as we are unable to assist in recovering them.

Personal Information

We collect personal information that you provide to us. For example, we collect information when you create an account or a profile, configure your preferences, and when you email, text, call, or otherwise communicate with us. The types of personal information we may collect includes: name, company name, profession, email address, account information and any other information you affirmatively provide to us (for example, as part of a message you send to us). Please consider this carefully before disclosing any personal information.

Automatically Collected Information

We collect certain types of non-personally identifiable information whenever you use the Site. For example, when you access the Site, some information such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, Internet service provider, operating system, the service from which you arrived, the page you requested, the time and date of your visit, and potentially other site usage statistics will be collected automatically as part of the software processes of the Site. The foregoing information itself does not personally identify you, but could potentially be linked with personal information that you provide us.

A cookie is a string of information that a website saves on a visitor's computer and that the visitor's browser provides to the website operator each time the visitor returns. Sprintfour Technologies Inc. uses the data collected from cookies to retain preferences and account settings for the Site.

When you arrive at the Site through a link we have shared, for example on social media or in a newsletter, that link may carry campaign tags identifying the channel, campaign, and medium it came from. We store those tags, along with the website that referred you, in your browser's local storage so that we can understand which channels bring people to the Site. This record contains campaign labels and a referring domain only; it does not contain your name, email address, or document content, and it is never used to build a profile of you. If you decline analytics cookies, this information is not transmitted to us.

The Application itself sends no telemetry, usage analytics, or behavioral data. It connects to the internet only to download and install the software, to sign in and validate your license, and to check for and download software updates. These connections transmit only what those functions require, such as your account credentials and the application version, and never any document content.

Use and Disclosure

You acknowledge and agree that Sprintfour Technologies Inc. may access, preserve, and disclose your information in connection with your use of the Application and/or Site or if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such access, preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; (b) enforce an end-user license agreement, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues (including, without limitation, the filtering of spam); (d) respond to user support requests; or (e) protect the rights, property, or safety of Sprintfour Technologies Inc., its users, and the public.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information; Opt-out Rights

We retain user provided data while your account is active and for a period afterward where required for legal and accounting purposes. You can permanently delete your account from the Account page while signed in; that removes your active identity, subscription, and product account data, except records we must retain for those purposes. You may also contact us at info@conseal.ai. Documents, key files, and redaction bundles on your device are never in our possession and are not deleted when you delete your account.

Payment Processing

When you start a trial or subscribe, payment is handled by our third party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We receive confirmation of payment status, plan, and billing events; we do not receive or store your full payment card number. The processor's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy.

Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.

Security

Sprintfour Technologies Inc. is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, or improve our business. Documents aren't sent to us, so they're not stored on our systems. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, however, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Other Application Policies (Crash Reports)

The Application does not send diagnostic data in the background. If the Application crashes or encounters a serious error, it will ask whether you want to send a crash report and show you the exact contents of that report before you decide. Reports contain technical details only, such as the application version, operating system, and the type of error. File names and folder paths are stripped out before the report is assembled, and nothing is transmitted unless you choose to send it.
